Give me an idea. Like a movie with food "Veggietales", (not that I pick that, the name just came to mind), or something like "Cooking with Caprial" (I know it's t.v. but she's a Northwesterner.)

"Mystic Pizza".....food, romance, broken hearts, marriage, money, googly eyes....it has it all!
Roberta: What Anonymous said is what I'm looking for...a movie that has cooking or food at it's center! :-) Yum.
Anonymous: I put a hold on that at the library. Thanks for the recommendation!
Gotcha. That's funny, "Mystic Pizza" was the first title to come to mind and I typed it in but then switched it to "veggietales" (it's been over 15 years since I've seen it and couldn't remember if there was anything inapropriate in it.) Have you ever recommended a movie and later went "Oops! Forgot about that part!"? :)
Roberta :)
just to be sure, I didn't intend that last comment as a sly way to say Mystic Pizza is not a good flick, I honestly can't remember anything but the title.
Roberta :)
Relax, Roberta! No condemnation here! ;-D
When are you going to start a blog, girl!? You're settled now, aren't you?
Pulp Fiction. I know what you're thinking....Who is this moron and can he not read? I know it's supposed to be about food but I'm drinking oj at the moment with heavy pulp and that's my favorite movie. I've no idea why I decided to share.
Eat, Drink, Man, Woman
also
The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover.
Not sure if I will. And please tell me I can have more than one month to get settled! ;)
I am still adjusting to the 103+ temps. We had a high of 107! Boy howdy was that a bit uncomfy for this pregnant mama.
I'm enjoying your blog, and Ann's and Meredith's!
Blessings,
Roberta :)
I can't think of any movies. However, The Redwall Series comes to mind. It's juvenile fiction. We listened to the first book on tape on our way to Seattle a couple of years ago. At the end of that summer we had a big neighborhood feast with all the foods the author, Brian Jauques (SP?), described in yummy detail.
Hi Karen! What a great blog!
Some of my favorite foodie movies:
Mostly Martha; Babette's Feast; A Wedding For Bella; My Big, Fat Greek Wedding ...
None of these are rated "G" (viewer beware), but the stories are good.

Karen, Is Chocolate food??? I believe so!!! The movie Chocolate is a fav with me...kind of fairytaleish...I love the couple who has lost the "flame" of love and a few bits of chocolate is all they need to light up! Love you. Love your blog. Amaze me some more, will you??? Julie
